FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will my dog be placed in a cage?
Yes, your dog will likely need to be in a kennel at some point because we do not allow dogs from different families to mingle. We will do our best to keep your dog out of the kennel as much as possible.
What can I do about my dog shedding?
We offer a shedless service that involves a special shampoo and conditioner to help loosen the dead undercoat so we can then blow and brush it out. This service does not eliminate shedding, but it will greatly reduce the amount of shedding when done on a regular schedule.
How old should my puppy be before getting groomed?
We recommend bringing your puppy in for their Puppy’s First Groom around four months of age. This will help them get used to grooming and ensure that we can make the experience positive.
Do you use tranquilizers?
No, we do not use tranquilizers, and we do not groom dogs that have been sedated without seeing a prescription from your vet and confirming with the vet that it is safe to groom the dog while on those sedatives.
Will my dog need to be muzzled?
Your dog will only be muzzled if necessary for nail trims. We will never muzzle a dog in the bath tub or cage area. If you know that your dog will need a muzzle for certain situations, please let us know.
How often should my pet be groomed?
Most pets are groomed on a 6-week schedule.
